The restaurant is expected to open its doors in the UAE this year.
Dubai’s dining scene is in a constant state of evolution. Salama, a Mediterranean restaurant hailing from France, is one of the latest names gearing up to join this food scene.
With roots in Cannes and Saint Tropez, Salama offers an authentic yet refined taste of Moroccan cuisine. Late last year, the restaurant expanded to Doha, and it is now setting its sights on Dubai, bringing a blend of elegance and rich flavours to the city.
If Salama’s French locations are any indication, the Dubai venue will also be a feast for the senses. The restaurant’s decor will feature a sophisticated fusion of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean influences, creating a cosy yet stylish ambience. Earthy tones, wooden elements, pottery, and mirrors will take centre stage, creating an intimate yet upscale setting.
While Salama has yet to unveil its Dubai menu, diners can expect to see some of its French outposts’ beloved dishes make an appearance. Classics such as The Bride’s Fingers and Chicken Pastilla are sure to delight those looking for a taste of tagine and Moroccan spices.
Salama’s journey began in Saint Tropez, where it first opened its doors as an intimate restaurant. Its marvellous Moroccan cuisine quickly won over locals and visitors alike, and over time, the restaurant established its cherished reputation. However, throughout its evolution, the essence of Salama remained unchanged. It offers an immersive dining experience where tradition and luxury go hand in hand.
While an official opening date and location for Salama’s Dubai branch have yet to be announced, excitement is already building. Mohamed Hedi Mardassi, the founder of Holdmar Group, has been vocal about his plans to bring the restaurant to Dubai this year.
