Motorsports are all the rage in the Middle East. With events like the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix already drawing massive crowds, fans are always hungry for more high-octane action. And now, this excitement is about to reach new heights because the 2024 FIM World Supercross Championship (WSX) is set to bring its grand finale to Abu Dhabi.
Taking place on 4 December, the grand finale of the 2024 FIM World Supercross Championship will be held at Etihad Arena on Yas Island. Happening just four days before the Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, this event ensures a week of excitement and action for all motorsport enthusiasts. The capital first hosted the championship last year and even more action is expected this time around.
The 2024 WSX season will take a journey across the world before finishing in the UAE. It kicks off on 26 October at the BC Place stadium in Vancouver, Canada. From there, the championship heads down under to Perth, Australia. Here, it’ll have a double-header event on 23 and 24 November, at HBF Park. The grand finale will then take place in Abu Dhabi, where the world's best riders will compete for the coveted title.
For those unversed with the World Supercross Championship, the event made its debut in 2022. It then expanded into new markets in 2023. The series' non-traditional format, featuring more races and shorter durations, has ramped up the action and excitement, ensuring fans are always on the edge of their seats. And this year — coupled with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix — the race promises to be no different.
Tickets are priced from AED 95, which includes entry to WSX on Wednesday, access to the Abu Dhabi GP on Super Thursday and general admission to the Yasalam After-Race Concert on Thursday.
