Enjoy fun-filled, family-friendly events this Eid Al Fitr.
Saudi Arabia loves a season. We’ve had everything from Riyadh Season to Ramadan Season, and now it has unveiled Eid Season 2023. The festival takes place during Eid Al Fitr and includes exciting events and firework displays.
Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority is behind Eid Season 2023, which draws inspiration from the kingdom’s rich culture. Even the logo echoes the country, and uses bright colours as well as recognisable symbols – palm trees, anyone?
Eid Season 2023 is all about bringing together authenticity, beauty, connections, celebration, happiness and love. Above all, it aims to create a family-friendly, joyful experience.
The official dates for Eid Al Fitr in Saudi Arabia have not yet been officially announced. The festival will take place once the kingdom’s Moon Sighting Committee have confirmed the dates. So far, it is expected to fall between 20 to 23 April.
Eid Al Fitr literally translates to festival of breaking the fast, and marks the end of fasting during Ramadan. Eid Al Fitr is celebrated during the first three days of Shawwal, and falls on the tenth month of the Muslim lunar calendar. Eid is a public holiday in Saudi Arabia, and it is celebrated by Muslims around the world with prayers, meals and gifts.
Ramadan Season is currently underway in Saudi Arabia. The festival takes place across 14 cities in 38 locations. The event celebrates the culture of the country, including the traditions that take place during the Holy Month of fasting. Visitors can enjoy concerts, crafts and cuisine.
Ramadan Mubarak.
