Will X mark the spot?
Elon Musk, the boss at Twitter, has been making the headlines. And this time around, he’s pulled off something seriously bold. From now onwards, the age-old Twitter will be called X. Elon has rebranded the beloved social media hangout, Twitter to X.
This move is part of Elon’s vision to create the “everything app”. Taking inspiration from the Chinese app WeChat, where users can perform diverse functions like messaging, ordering taxis, and making payments, he wants everyone on X to have a seamless experience – hopping from one fantastic function to another.

But it’s the logo that’s creating a buzz – a chic, minimalist art deco X. Elon’s got his eyes set on the future and this X marks the spot where Twitter is headed. It’s time to say goodbye to the iconic blue bird. With Threads, the Twitter-like app from Meta, gaining traction like crazy, it was time for him to think of something out of the box. So with a fresh coat of paint, X is ready to hop on top of the social media game.
This isn’t the first time Twitter went through a major change. Since Elon acquired Twitter in October 2022, there have been significant changes including mass layoffs and policy adjustments.
Elon is ready to revolutionise the way we use social media. And with him at the helm, there’s no telling what surprises are in store for us ahead. So fasten your seatbelt and get ready to X-plore X.
