The Jeddah E-Prix — also known as ABB FIA Formula E World Championship — takes place on 14 and 15 February. This marks the race’s seventh instalment in the Kingdom, promising two days packed with high-octane action.
Akon is a singer, songwriter, and producer from Missouri, United States. He is famous for his blend of R&B, hip-hop, and pop music. His hit songs include “I Wanna Love You,” “Lonely,” “Right Now (Na Na Na),” and “Smack That.” Over his career, he has won American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, and World Music Awards and sold over 35 million albums worldwide.
Born Aliaune Thiam, Akon has collaborated with top artists such as Eminem, Lady Gaga, and David Guetta. Beyond his music, Akon is a successful entrepreneur and philanthropist. He founded Akon Lighting Africa, an initiative that provides solar power to millions of Africans. Additionally, he has been involved in plans to develop “Akon City,” a futuristic, sustainable city in Senegal.
But Akon isn’t the only act bringing the heat to Jeddah. Joining him will be hip-hop heavyweight Lil Baby, the popular Egyptian group Disco Misr and the Miami Band, all performing on Saturday, 15 February.
