The electronic music festival is scheduled to take place in February 2023.

Hold onto your glow sticks, the electronic music festival Elrow XXL is coming to Dubai. The festival is scheduled to take place in February 2023, and looks set to be a massive, must-visit rave.

Elrow (minus the XXL) has taken place before at Dubai’s Soho Garden in Meydan, but the next edition is, well, going large. The location has not yet been confirmed, but we do know that it will be able to hold a whopping 8,000 people and run from 2pm until late. Plus, the event will have one of Elrow’s largest stages – the pirate ship-like Rowmudas Triangle.

There aren’t many festivals in the world that can claim they have a 150-year-old history, but Elrow has a quirky origin story. Jose Satorres, who was born in Fraga, Spain, is the founder behind the festival. While Jose was doing military service, he discovered cabarets and cultivated his love of music. In 1870 he opened Café Jospet, a social club that would form the beginnings of what is now a worldwide festival.

Today, Elrow is a magical music festival, which showcases the best of electronic music. Across the globe, the festival has taken place in cities ranging from Amsterdam to London.

If you’re looking for more music events UAE, there are not just mega festivals but mega artists coming to the country. Upcoming concerts include Liam Gallagher on 29 October, John Legend at the Louvre Abu Dhabi Festival on 12 November, and Kendrick Lamar on 19 November. Plus, Kylie Minogue has been announced as the headliner for Atlantis, The Palm’s New Year’s Eve Gala Dinner, A Night with the Stars.

Tickets for Elrow XXL are not yet on sale, but you can sign up for early bird packages and VIP packages. Big fish, little fish shapes are optional.
