The luxury carrier is eyeing several destinations in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Travel corridors across the Middle East are thriving. With relaxed visa policies and more carriers entering the skies, people are jetting off to new destinations more than ever before. One of the key brands fueling this boom is Beond Airlines, which has revealed exciting Middle East expansion plans.

Beond Airlines is the world’s first premium leisure airline aiming to redefine luxury travel. With no economy class, it offers an all-business class experience with all flat seats. The airline celebrated its first anniversary with a press conference this week where it unveiled expansion plans.

Currently, Beond Airlines connects the Maldives to destinations like Dubai, Riyadh, Munich, Milan, and Zurich. The Middle East operations primarily focus on flights from Velana International Airport in the Maldives to Dubai and Riyadh.

Beond

Beond Airlines is currently considering two new Middle Eastern destinations: Abu Dhabi and Jeddah. Its hub at Dubai World Central (DWC) already serves travellers from both Dubai and Abu Dhabi, thanks to its convenient location. However, adding Abu Dhabi as a direct destination will solidify its presence in the UAE. The inclusion of Jeddah is also a nod to Saudi Arabia’s growing appeal. These details are currently awaiting confirmation, with more information to be revealed soon.

When asked about further expansion in Saudi Arabia, including potential routes to Neom or the Red Sea region, Beond Airlines hinted it is “closely eyeing” these destinations. With Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 driving tourism growth, these additions could be on the horizon.

Beond

Beond was founded by aviation veterans Sascha Feuerherd, Max Nilov and Tero Taskila. Created in January 2022, it is now going into commercial operations and aims to redefine the travel experience. The group raised $17 million and had funds coming from angel investors and partners.

Beond’s upcoming routes include Hong Kong, Mumbai, Paris, Singapore and Tokyo. Plus, there will be more than 50 destinations in more than 25 countries with a fleet of over 30 aircraft in the next five years.
