With icons such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, Karim Benzema, and many others having moved to Saudi clubs, the world is finally catching onto just how big football is here. And now, to give everyone a closer look, the Saudi Pro League is getting its very own documentary.

Coming to Netflix on 21 November, this sports docuseries, titled Saudi Pro League: Kickoff promises an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the biggest league in the Kingdom. The focus will remain on the five clubs — Al Nassr, Al Hilal, Al Ittihad, Al Ahli, and Al Ettifaq as they eye the trophy.

For those who are unverified, the Saudi Pro League is Saudi Arabia’s biggest professional football league. It was established in 2008 under the Saudi Professional League Authority and is the pinnacle of Saudi football. The league’s global appeal skyrocketed in 2023 after an influx of top-tier international talent moved to the Kingdom. This year’s tournament is currently in session with matches taking place across Saudi Arabia.
