The property marks the Curio Collection’s debut in Saudi Arabia.

Jeddah has always been a firm favourite Saudi favourite, known for its ladi back living and thriving arts and culture scene. Naturally, where there are tourists, there are hotels, and one of the latest to join the scene is The Hotel Galleria Jeddah, Curio Collection by Hilton. Previously known as The Hotel Galleria by Elaf, this property marks the Curio Collection’s debut in Saudi Arabia.

Located on Jeddah’s Tahlia Street, The Hotel Galleria Jeddah is a stone’s throw away from the city’s liveliest spots. Its design is inspired by Milan’s iconic Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II making the exterior a showstopper. The grand Romanesque structure on one of Jeddah’s busiest roads could easily be mistaken for a historical monument, with its towering arches and grand design.

First Impressions

Step inside, and you’ll instantly be greeted by a mini replica of the property, neatly positioned in front of the elevators. But if you fancy taking the stairs, the grand staircase slopes skywards as if torn straight from the screen in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. The ascension leads you to the mezzanine, where the front desk is located. The scale of the staircase alone sets the tone for what’s to come – grand, luxurious, and elegant.

Natural light floods the hotel, illuminating the space in an ethereal glow. Beige marble floors complement the Romanesque architecture, while plush teal and blue seating areas add a modern touch. The area also features geometric shapes that contrast with the design, making it a blend of old-world charm and contemporary luxury.

Rooms and Suites

The Hotel Galleria Jeddah, Curio Collection by Hilton houses a collection of over 363 rooms and suites. FACT checked into the King Executive One Bedroom Suite which instantly transported us back to the early 2000s – in the best possible way. While some might expect a more modern update since Hilton took over, the room’s charm lies in its Y2K vibe, with wood accents and plush carpeting throughout.

Upon entering, a wardrobe and minibar are tucked neatly to the right side, with a powder roomradjacent. In front of you, the spacious living room awaits with a three-seater couch — which doubles as a sofa bed — proving that the room can accommodate up to four guests. An armchair and pops of colour from yellow settees tucked under the console add more seating space to the area. The Saudi artwork on the walls adds a local cultural touch, while the muted grey curtains tie the room together.

Sliding doors lead to the bedroom, where a super king-size bed, a cushioned yellow headboard, and more wood accents continue the theme. Even though the furnishings remain in line with early 2000s styles, the room feels comfortable.

The bathroom, however, is more of a modern affair, with clean white tones and a beige marble vanity. A semi-open glass door separates the tub and standing shower from the rest of the bathroom, ensuring privacy.
