Spiritual sanctuaries

Address Jabal Omar Makkah comprises 1,268 rooms and 212 suites, including presidential suites and two four-bedroom penthouses, accommodating up to 3,710 guests daily. These rooms are distributed amongst the hotel’s two towers and FACT had the pleasure of checking into a Superior Suite with a Kaaba View, occupying a corner space close to the top of the towers.

Stepping into the Superior Suite, we were immediately captivated by the view of the Holy Kaaba. The whiteness of Masjid Al Haram, framed by its minarets, stood out despite the towering hotels nearby. In comparison to scenic mountains or serene waters, this view was deeply spiritual.

The living area was a blend of modern comfort and traditional touches. Carpeting with geometric patterns and warm browns, complemented by Islamic artwork on the wall, added to the cosy atmosphere. The area also featured a 50-inch LED TV screen and a storage unit that doubled as a TV console and minibar. A sofa bed facing the TV and a coffee table made for a perfect relaxation spot. An empty space in front of the windows provided a great spot for prayer, with the Kaaba in full view. The suite was stocked with Ajwa dates and ZamZam water from the Zamzam Well in Masjid Al Haram. Dating back to 5000 years, it is renowned for its immunity-boosting properties.

Moving further into the suite, the bathroom offered separate toilet and shower areas, with a marble seat in the shower for older people. The main bedroom, accessible through another door, featured a king-size bed with side tables. Two single-seater sofas offered a comfortable spot to enjoy the views of the Kaaba through the corner windows.
