Fenaa Hayy will host a variety of events throughout the summer.
If you’re after your next culture fix, head down to Hayy Jameel in Jeddah. The arts centre has announced its summer program at Fenaa Hayy and there’s no better way to beat the heat.
Running from 14 July until 15 September, Fenaa Hayy will feature a programme of artists, creatives, and entrepreneurs over the course of two months. The space at Hayy Jameel will give space to pop-up eateries, cosy co-working spots and a line-up of thematic events that will keep you engaged and inspired throughout summer.
Each of the three months will be centred around a specific theme. In July, the focus will be Community Conversations. As part of this, you can enjoy book club gatherings and board game nights. An activation called Ta’aamaq will also be held which will allow strangers to come face-to-face with each other and break the ice between them to foster meaningful conversation. Likewise, a Reflection Club will allow guests to self-reflect and encourage religious education.
August will focus on music so expect acoustic nights, talent recognition and a whole lot more. The last month of Fenaa Hayy, in September, will shift the focus to wellness and spirituality. Expect sound healing sessions, yoga and much more that will help you ground your soul.
In addition to Fenaa Hayy, other activities happening at Hayy Jameel include Hayy Cinema, which will feature screenings of films such as Cannes-nominee Norah and Anatomy of a Fall.
As for Hayy Jameel, it’s a community and collaboration space that reflects Saudi Arabia’s burgeoning creative scene. And this summer, with Fenaa Hayy, you get to enjoy its summer retreat. Entry is free and open to all.
