The second outpost of this luxe East Asian eatery will be located in West Bay.
Anchored in Art Deco elegance, Shanghai Me is famed amongst Dubai diners for its delicate East Asian dishes, so it was only a matter of time until Doha got its very own outpost – the city’s culinary scene is exploding as we speak, after all. Situated within the heart of North Beach Corniche, the new location will also showcase the glamour and depth of Shanghai’s history through exquisite interiors designed by renowned architect Michele Bonan and accented with intricate artwork.
For the uninitiated, renowned chef Izu Ani is at the helm of Shanghai Me’s culinary operations, perfecting the balance between innovation and authenticity with his dishes. His philosophical ethos and approach is coupled with the skill and passion of Executive Chef Yukitaka Kitade from Japan and Head Chef Xiong Wang from China. Collectively, this leading culinary team pushes the creative boundaries in every dish whilst respecting and honouring the storied traditions of Chinese and Japanese cuisine.
Merging ancient cooking techniques with today’s most well-loved flavours, the menu also features fresh seafood for an increase in prosperity, dim sum for wealth, as well as noodles for happiness and longevity. The decadent Shanghai Me Fortune Cookie predicts a delicious future and a sweet ending for all, while the sushi bar offers a truly interactive experience – taking a seat at the counter, diners can observe the precision and passion of the sushi chefs at work.
Elsewhere, Shanghai Me’s Bund Lounge is hidden on the ground floor. Illuminated in rich shades of purple, the exclusive lounge boasts a sleek bar, soulful tunes, and an enticing cocktail list, creating a luxurious and private experience for an evening of unapologetic indulgence.
