When you think of a relaxing getaway amongst nature, Oman’s stunning landscapes naturally come to mind. While the Sultanate offers many luxurious escapes to enjoy, there’s now a new reason to head to Muscat for some well-deserved relaxation. The newly-opened Mandarin Oriental, Muscat, has officially launched its spa, which promises a fusion of Eastern philosophy and Omani healing traditions.
Located in Shatti Al Qurum, The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Muscat promises an oasis of calm. With eight treatment rooms, including a couple’s suite, this retreat offers a unique blend of Mandarin Oriental’s signature treatments, enhanced with local practices. Prepare to be pampered with bespoke treatments overlooking the sea.
The spa’s ‘Essence of Muscat’ treatments are particularly special which include the Mountain Restoration and Rose Quartz Ritual. The Mountain Restoration treatment incorporates the healing properties of roses, pomegranates, and Omani Frankincense. The Rose Quartz Ritual uses ancient Arabian desert therapies, combining sand bathing, sound healing, and facial techniques using Damask Roses from Jabal Al Akhdar.
No Middle Eastern spa experience would be complete without a Hammam, and The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Muscat, promises an authentic experience. Featuring mosaics and fragrant oils, the Hammam ensures that guests feel refreshed and renewed. Moreover, the spa also boasts separate relaxation areas for men and women, with outdoor terraces, saunas, steam rooms, and outdoor pools to truly indulge.
In addition to the spa, Mandarin Oriental, Muscat also features a state-of-the-art Fitness Centre, restaurants, and much more. The hotel is also home to 103 rooms and 47 suites, with views of the sea or the Hajar Mountains.
